COINS

All machines accept 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins. Please see below for more detail.

DETERGENT

Don’t waste your detergent! Our water is treated so you won’t need as much as you do at home. There is a detergent dispenser in the launderette to the left of the entrance door. Check there is a cup available and then insert 50p to dispense detergent.

For the comfort of other people washing and drying, no food or drink is allowed on the premises. Please take all rubbish home to recycle.

If leaving the launderette whilst your washing is in a machine, please return within 45 minutes. Do not leave the dryers while your laundry dries. Dryer doors can be opened and we are not responsible for theft or loss. Without checking progress you may well be over-drying, risk spoiling your clothes and spending more money than you need to.

Night owls, remember that water will be automatically cut off from the machine at closing time. Please give yourself enough time to wash before this. We recommend the last wash is started before 9pm.

At 10pm, the door will automatically lock. You can leave, but not re-enter, so don’t leave anything behind.

Washers

Machines W1 & W2

Load: 13kg/130ltr

Price: £6 per wash

Coins accepted: 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins.

Pre-sort your laundry
Check that the drum is empty & clean
Select wash cycle (NB rinse & spin is JUST a rinse & spin!)
Load clothes
Add your detergent into hopper or drum
If using soap nuts, place these directly into the drum
Close door before inserting coins
Insert coins (slowly) to the correct value
Always watch the screen to see each coin register
Press 'Start'
Wait for cycle to finish
When screen says ‘open door’, turn door handle downwards to open.

Machines W3 & W4

Load: 18kg/180ltr

Price: £8 per wash

Coins accepted: 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins.

Pre-sort your laundry
Check that the drum is empty & clean
Select wash cycle by pressing 'P' to change cycle from '5' to '6' to '1' etc
Load clothes
Add your detergent into hopper or drum
If using soap nuts, place these directly into the drum
Close door before inserting coins
Insert coins to the value of £8.00
Always check that each coin registers
The machine will then run the selected wash cycle when the last coin registers
Wait for cycle to finish
When indicator shows "'0' time left', pull door to open.

Load clothes
Add your detergent into hopper or drum
If using soap nuts, place these directly into the drum
Close door before inserting coins
Insert coins to the value of £4.00
Always check that each coin registers
The machine will then run the selected wash cycle when the last coin registers
Wait for cycle to finish
When indicator shows "'0' time left', pull door to open.

Machines D1 - D6

Price: Minimum £1 to start. We advise at least £1.50 as last few minutes are ‘cool down’.

Coins accepted: 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, £2

Check care labels on clothing
Select drier temperature on the touch pad
Check that drum is empty & clean
Close door before inserting coins

Insert coins to the desired length of dry (with colder weather, you may need an extra 50p)
Always watch the screen to see each coin register
Push to start
Before time gets down to the last 3 minutes (cool down), check dryness & add another coin if needed

Wait for dry cycle to finish
Open door to collect dry washing immediately

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DRYING UNATTENDED
