need

COINS

Most machines accept £1 coins only, although some do take other coins. Please see below per machine. 

​

DETERGENT

We recommend that you bring your own detergent plus fabric softener if desired. There is a detergent dispenser in the launderette by machine 15. Insert 50p and 20p then slide to get detergent packet.

​

No food or drink is allowed

Please take all rubbish home to recycle

​

If leaving the launderette whilst your washing is in a machine, please return within 45 minutes.

​

Please note the last wash time is 8pm. Water will be automatically cut off from the machine after 9pm.

​

At 9pm, the door will automatically lock. You can leave, but not re-enter, so please ensure you take everything with you.

Washers

Machines W1 & W6 - W11

Load: 7kg/73ltr

Price: £3.00 per wash

Coins accepted: £1 only.

  • Pre-sort your laundry 

  • Check that the drum is empty & clean

  • Select wash cycle

  • Load clothes

  • Add your detergent into hopper or drum

  • If using soap nuts, place these directly into the drum

  • Close door before inserting coins

  • Insert 3 x £1 coins

  • Always check that each coin registers

  • Some machines require "Press Start"

  • The machine will then run the selected wash cycle

  • Wait for cycle to finish 

  • Open door to collect clean washing

Machines W2 & W3

Load: 18kg/180ltr

Price: £7.00 per wash

Coins accepted: 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2.

  • Select wash cycle

  • Load clothes

  • Add your detergent into hopper or drum

  • If using soap nuts, place these directly into the drum

  • Close door before inserting coins

  • Insert coins to the value of £7.00.

  • Always check that each coin registers

  • Some machines require "Press Start"

  • The machine will then run the selected wash cycle

  • Wait for cycle to finish 

  • Open door to collect clean washing

Load: 13kg/132ltr

Price: £5.00 per wash

Coins accepted: £1 only.

  • Insert 5 x £1 coins. 

  • Always check that each coin registers

  • Some machines require "Press Start"

  • The machine will then run the selected wash cycle

  • Wait for cycle to finish 

  • Open door to collect clean washing

Dryers 

Machines D1 & D2

Price: At least 50p to start. We advise a minimum of £1 to run the shortest dry cycle.

Coins accepted: 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, £2

  • Check care labels on clothing

  • Select drier temperature on the touch pad

  • Check that drum is empty & clean 

  • Close door before inserting coins​

  • Insert coins to the desired length of dry (we advise a minimum of £1)

  • Always check that each coin registers

  • Push to start

  • Wait for dry cycle to finish 

  • Open door to collect dry washing

Machines D3, D4, D5 & D6

Price: We advise a minimum of £1 to run the shortest dry cycle.

Coins accepted: £1 coins only

  • Check care labels on clothing

  • Select dryer temperature 

  • Check that drum is empty & clean 

  • Close door before inserting coins​

  • Check that your £1 coin isn't damaged

  • Put £1 into coin slot

  • Rotate knob clockwise about 1/4 turn and release

  • You will hear the £1 coin drop into cash box

  • Light will come on (If light does not come on, your coin didn't drop, so twiddle the knob until coin drops)

  • Press and hold start button for 3 seconds, then release

  • Insert more coins to the desired length of dry (we advise a minimum of £1)

  • Wait for dry cycle to finish 

  • Open door to collect dry washing
